Recent update: I've been receiving communication from the genealogical program of the Marines that remains have been retrieved from Viet Nam that they believe were Gary's. Because Otto and Charlotte Rehn have both died and Gary was adopted, they have been doing additional research to match DNA. I don't know what happens next - burial? information forwarded to the Park Rapids newspaper? If any of you like to do research, here's your chance to honor someone who gave his life for his country.

She taught me so much about music.
I always thought she was the model for Jon Hassler's books about Staggerford.
I'm putting together a book of remembrances from my youth for the grandkids. I went looking for prom pictures, etc. By any chance - did you have any pictures of Gary and me? Thanks. You can write me: Karen L Johnson, 1275 Sixth, Cumberland, WI 54829.
Seems like there have been so many deaths recently - people I remember as kids are widowed: I guess we are of an age, aren't we? To all those who helped me survive middle school, my Park Rapids years, for your friendship, for the adventures we shared, thank you. As I listen to today's kids talk about their experiences, I am filled with joy that I was where I was when I was in junior high!

Happy Birthday, Patty! After 30 years of confirmation kids giving me payback for all the hard times I gave Rev Kath at church, I retired this month. I know you were always well behaved at church - except for the times you weren't. Any suggestions for what I should do now that I'm retired?
A happy Birhday to you Karen....We were again blessed to celebrate another wonderful blessed Lenten/Easter season....my favorite time of the church year. It seems that even though we hear the same good news all the time, I am always refreshed and receive more blessings each year. I am saddened by those who take their gift of faith for granted and do not participate richly in learning more about our wonderful Lord and Saviour. There is so much to be thankful about. At times, I fear the fact that maybe we won't be able to live with the freedom of religion. ..... A blessed day to you...Nancy
