I have worked as a laboratory technician, nurse, missionary under appointment, home school coordinator.
As a missionary under appointment, I did a lot of public speaking, conducting church services, teaching and traveling.
I was assigned to Burundi Africa as a missionary with World Gospel Mission.
When the situation in that country became too dangerous, the mission board
wouldn't allow me to go. I still haven' t gone to Africa, but I did go on two
short-term mission trips.
In 2010 I married the love of my life, David Demmon. I was 60 years old and it is my first marriage. It has been a wonderful adventure and the best time of my life.
My husband and I are disabled. However, we strongly believe in giving back. I volunteer at our church. We both live with pain, but we have learned that we can deal with the pain more effectively when we are helping someone else. I work as a casual employee of Heartland Homes and serve on the Land of the Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging Advisory Committee Region 2. Dave works part-time at Walmart. It's a great life. We are grateful.
