Judy Edam Ham

After high school I attended Mankato State for 1 year. I then became a flight attendant for Braniff Airways (they don't even exist now). I married Dale Ham who also worked for Braniff. He then became a fireman for the city of Richardson after Braniff closed.
One of our daughters is a Southwest Airline Attendant and Karien, the oldest,, is a school teaher.
My husband is now retired and administrates what goes on in the orchard. In 1979 we started an orchard on our property which now exists of 5,000 peach trees and many other fruits such as plums, apricots, nectarines, blackberries, apples and pears. We sell everything from a store on our property and have done so for 31 years.
We love to travel and find other commercial orchards and discover new items for our store.
We have two grandchildren that are nearly grown. Alexandra is 17 and Taylor (a boy) is 15. They are a blessing to us. They live very close to us so we have really enjoyed watching them grow up.
I love to quilt and read and spend a lot of time at church where I sing in the choir.

I loved school in Park Rapids and think of all the times I went to the Point to swim and all the fun I had with my friends. I loved PR. Does anyone remember The Luxury Ice Cream place? My parents used to take Jane and I for rides in the evening and we always stopped at the Luxury for a cone. I certainly can't forget the band and all the marching we did. I remember one day leading the band across the railroad tracks and a train was coming. Nope! They didn't follow.
