I remember Marion as a pretty girl reserved and a little quiet, but always pleasant.  We had ninth grade Home Ec. class together when I heard of her illness.  Her Aunt and Uncle had a farm a mile from my parents and I remember listening to the grownups talk about Marion being ill.  They were praying for Marion and her family and I thought she would be back in school and I would see her in class.  When the news spread of her passing I remember the feeling of disbelief and sadness among the classmates and teachers.  When our yearbook was dedicated to Marion, it gave peace and closer as well as maintaining her in our memory.
