Attended University of MN - Crookston and received my AAS degree in Meat/ Poultry Science in 1976.
Attended University of WI - River Falls and received my BS degree in Agricultural Education in 1978.
Since 1978 I have lived in Fairmont, MN. Started out teaching Vocational Agriculture and FFA at Fairmont, got married & was a farm partner for 25 years, worked with USDA ag loans temporarily during the farm crisis of the early 1980's, was the County Agricultural Inspector [Weed Inspector], Water Planner and Wetland Conservation Act Administrator, was Executive Director of a regional watershed group called the Blue Earth River Basin Initiative [BERBI], in 2003 started a nonprofit corporation called Rural Advantage with a couple of friends where I currently serve as president.
